How can GLOGSTER be used in the classroom? GLOGSTER brings the 20th century poster project into the 21st century with its rich interactive multimedia possibilities. It is a great tool that gives students the opportunity to increase their digital literacy skills whilst demonstrating their knowledge and understanding in a fun, engaging and creative manner. It not only promotes creativity but also Bloom's higher order thinking skills including analysis, synthesis and evaluation . It can be used across all KLAs and with all year levels. GLOGSTER not only provides teachers with a tool to differentiate the curriculum but with its audio visual qualities appeals to visual-spatial learners and is especially effective for use with special needs and ESL students. GLOGSTER also fosters teamwork and collaboration with students being able to view comment and rate each others work as well as view the work of students from education communities around the world.Teachers can use GLOGSTER to create engaging teaching and learning materials that can be shared with students beyond the classroom in a variety of ways. To set the WALL BACKGROUND click on the WALL BUTTON on the toolbar and select from the options on the left. In the sample below the page background is set to a solid colour - orange. The wall background is a preset pattern found in the gallery. The Abc text box (the first text box on the top row) gives you a transparent text box to write in and is the best to use for your actual text. See "Handy Tips Before you start". The following tools apear when you select a text box, shape, graphic or video. They allow you to customise the media in many different ways. After you have added a document to your Glog a small paper clip will appear in the bottom right corner of your Glog which you can then click on to open the document attached.
